Shinji is a pure-blooded wizard, though he has issues with this. In fact, he has issues with just about everything. He's kind of a wimp. Anyway. Shinji's main issue with being a pureblood is that his father, Gendo, expects a lot of him and demands things that Shinji just doesn't really get. He also works for the Department of Mysteries, so Shinji hasn't seen him very much. His mom's dead, so.. yeah. He just transfered in from Japan at the request of his father after his house (well, entire neighborhood... well, okay, city, really) flooded, leaving him with nothing.
His talents lie in DADA, Muggle Studies (home ec, mostly), and divination, though his divination talent frightens him. He has a little barn owl named Kodomo (Japanese for "child").
